Skiing in Park City is made simple due of the close proximity of the 3 ski resorts. And many of the ski trails are within a 15-minute drive of the Park City area. Cross Country Skiing

If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of busy streets and busier ski slopes, Park City is also ideal for a cross country skiing.  Travel through the pristine mountains the way the mountain men and miners used to do.  Nordic skiing is a great way to explore the backcountry, for skiers of any level.  Whether you want to take a slow paced trip, or get a great aerobic workout, you can tailor your trip to your custom outing. 

The Park City area offers groomed trails, National Forest roads and trails, and BLM land that is ideal for cross country skiing.  There are mountain top routes, tracks through red-rock canyons, and even some of our golf courses are groomed and ready for your cross country ski adventure. 

Cross Country skiing offers a great time for individuals, groups, or families. We offer the best terrain, the greatest snow on earth, and several shops offer all the gear you'll need, lessons, and guided tours. Remember to be well-prepared, dress warm, check weather and avalanche forecasts, and above all, have a great adventure.

Soldier Hollow

With more than 20 miles of trails, winding through the hills and trees, Soldier Hollow’s trail system provides cross-country skiing
and snowshoeing for athletes of all abilities. The day lodge offers ski rentals, souvenirs, and accessories, along with food and beverages.

Sundance Nordic Center

The Cross Country Center at Sundance offers the rare combination of a pristine back country experience, immaculately groomed trails, and separate snowshoe trails. A full-service facility with rentals and new demo equipment is also available. Coaching sessions for all levels offered daily.

The Homestead

Featuring hundreds of miles of groomed trails and ungroomed powder, we offer everything you need for your cross-country ski adventure: equipment rentals, lessons, and free trail passes. Just 20 minutes from Park City.

Wasatch Mountain State Park

This groomed ski track offers up views of the spectacular mountains and farmland of the Heber Valley. Wasatch Mountain State Park is located near Park City, and has equipment available for rent.
